DIY Halloween Countdown

Seriously this year has been speeding by! The good news is that Halloween is my favorite holiday and its less than 2 months away. Yipee! I thought it would be so cute to make a calendar countdown. This is a very inexpensive project made with things you probably already have. Great for classrooms, or just at home fun for the kids. No longer will you have to answer the dreaded, repetitive question of "How many days til (insert every holiday here)?"

Okay here we go!

Supplies:
Picture frame
Construction paper
Tape
Glue
Marker
Ruler
Sisscors
Foam sheet
Printer (for halloween image)

Start by taking your picture frame apart. Cover the cardboard piece with construction paper. I used 2 sheets of paper and taped it down.

Doesn't look too pretty from the back, but eh whatever. No one will see that lol

I'm pretty sure this frame is 11/13"
So I cut pieces of construction paper 1.5/2"
I alternated my colors and fixed them how I wanted them to look. I left some space on the top to put my "Countdown to Halloween" sign.

I used a sharpie to write the numbers and glued it on to the cardboard.
I google searched for an image to say "Countdown to Halloween" and printed it out.

Lookin' good there!

I can't seem to rotate these two pictures, not sure why! UGH!
Anyways just assemble it back into the frame, don't forget the "31"

I cut out a pumpkin using a foam sheet that's sticky on one side. I'm going to use it to go along the calendar days.

There ya have it folks!

Have fun customizing this to fit any holiday or vacation that you want to count down!

How fun!
