Pittsburg Steelers Wreath DIY

Yay for crafts! It's been awhile since I've done one and I was excited to get started. I used the same technique that was used to make my Spring Wreath. It's versatile. With different color ribbon, you can create a wreath to match any season, occasion, mood or style.

The theme for this wreath is the Pittsburg Steelers. The pre game season is in 18 days, so technically I'm not THAT early at making this.

Here's everything that I used:

A 16 in foam wreath, burlap, wood glue, 7 in circle plaque, straight pins, acrylic paint, ribbon, string, paintbrushes, scissors, a pencil and a glue gun (not pictured)

*Usually I go to Michael's and use a coupon, but Walmart's prices were cheaper than that. Score!*

I secured a piece of burlap with hot glue on the back of the wreath. Then just wrap it around.

Cut and secure the end of burlap with hot glue.

That sticker was getting on my nerves because it wasn't peeling nicely. Ain't nobody got time for that, so I just turned it over.

I painted the whole circle white. That staple was giving me OCD convulsions, but I got over it. Haha!

I free handed a sketch of the Steelers logo. I'm not an artist as you will soon find out when you see my paint job. Eh, I tried lol

Cut the ribbon about 3-5 in. It depends on how big you want your loops to look. If you want to see a  detailed tutorial on how to loop the ribbon with straight pins, look here.

Sorry for the crooked picture, this was taken before I had my coffee.

Lighting sucks in my hallway, but here it is! I can't help but to laugh at my paint job, but it's the thought that counts!

I'm pretty satisfied with the end result :)
