Valentine's Day Toddler Art

wanted to do a cute Valentine's Day craft to do with Frankie to give his grandparents. I had all of these items on hand. They're all pretty inexpensive to buy.

Here's what you'll need:
- A blank canvas
- Acrylic paint
- Painters tape
- glitter

Start by drawing (or tracing) a heart on the canvas.

Use the painters tape to fill up the heart. This was the trickiest part. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Now the fun part! Let your toddler paint! Frankie went straight for the blue area to paint. With some direction, I got him to fill in the white areas too. He loves to paint.

TADA! We used red, white and pink. Let the paint dry.

Remove the painters tape.

Add glue to the heart and sprinkle glitter on it. Your toddler will have fun with that. He wanted to add gold to the heart. No problem ;)

And that's it! I added his name and the month/year. I also went over the border of the heart with white paint so it would really pop. It's ready to be gifted! Fun craft/gift to do with a little one. Grandparents always love personal touches.

Like I always say, it's not perfect, but it's perfect to me. I hope you have fun making this craft with your toddler! :)
