Been a while since my last post. Well today I dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen so I've been feeling a little frustrated. Ya know what's a good remedy? BACON. And cheeeese! Lots and lots of cheese. This recipe is something I came up with a while ago and it's become a regular in my meal planning rotation. Enough chatting, here comes the good stuff.
Ingredients (not all pictured):
Spaghetti
Turkey bacon
Cream cheese
Parmesean cheese
Milk
Onions
Butter
Garlic powder
1. Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the box.
2. Chop up your onions. 1 small onion is fine. I had a huge Costco sized onion so I used 1/4 of that.
3. I like to chop up the bacon before it's cooked, I find it easier to do it that way.
4. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat and cook the bacon until it's no longer pink and the onions until they're transparant. The aroma of this is ahhhhhhmazing!
5. Add 2 nice sized spoonfuls of cream cheese and mix it around so it can start to melt.
6. Pour a splash of milk, to give it a nice creamy texture.
7. Shake some Parmesan cheese in there, don't be shy now.
8. Sprinkle some garlic powder to taste.
9. Keep mixing it around and watch it thicken and that's it! Easy Peasy!
10. I don't drain my pasta, I scoop it up and right into the sauce. The pasta water adds a nice mix to the cheese sauce.
Annnnnd that's it! I might have used too much bacon for my dish, but that's okay!
Just when I thought I was cured from the cranks, I realized my finished photo is blurry. Stupid cracked iPhone making it hard to seeeeee anything clearly anymore! Okay woooooosahhhh! Enjoy!
